If you told me 10 years ago that Amy and I would be photographers in our post-college years, and that she would be regularly documenting these fleeting days in the life of my growing family, I don’t think you could have made me a happier person. I cannot put into words what a gift it has been to have Amy capture such wonderful moments for our family.
Let’s talk about Dax… He hasn’t officially said anything to us at this point in his little life but oh man! We can’t wait to see his personality and spirit take shape as he grows. I think back to when Silas was this little, and how much we didn’t know about him when he was brand new, but here’s the thing we can definitely already see some differences in our sweet boys. I just can’t quite put my finger on it.
One noticeable thing about Dax: this boy is ready to speak his mind even if it’s just baby cries at this point. Not kidding, if there is something he disagrees with he will let you know instantly and will continue to let you know until you fix whatever it is.
And Silas. Every time I see him, I just want to squeeze him. As a big brother? He nails it. Dax’s newborn session didn’t even have a Silas meltdown. It was close but a little extra attention and a cookie fixed it pretty quick. Overall the love that Silas has for his baby brother is so sweet and tender, and it’s precious to watch.
Last thing — I gotta talk about Samson and what a trooper he was. Newborn sessions always take time and Dax definitely used all of the time that was allowed. So, thank you hubby for entertaining Silas and being patient with our little Dax. xoxo
Thank you Amy Anderson Photography for serving and loving our family well! 🙂
