The week before Amber and Rob’s wedding was pretty cold but I wasn’t too worried because let’s face it this is Florida. We have maybe one month total the entire year for cold weather. Well one of those cold days decided to fall on their wedding day. Now, just to clarify… anything below 70 degrees is cold for me. The low for Saturday was in the 40’s!!!
So, our first wedding of 2018 was a little chilly for this Florida girl. Amber and Rob were champs! I mean I was shaking after one minute of being outside. Amber was in a strapless ball gown and she didn’t shiver not once during their portraits! I don’t know how she did it but I’m so happy these two braved the cold.
The day was absolutely perfect! Their sweet 75 guest wedding was intimate and elegant. The Lake Mary Events Center was the perfect setting, and had some beautiful trellis’ that we took full advantage of when it came time for portraits. We loved meeting their sweet families and getting to know their friends! I think one of my favorite parts of the day was Amber’s step father’s toast. I was a little teary listening to him explain how Amber had asked him to walk her down the aisle when she was very young and how she had lost her father in high school. I guess it brought me back a little to losing my father and my own wedding when my mom walked me down the aisle. I could tell by Amber’s teary eyes that she absolutely agreed with and loved everything her step father said. We’re so thankful that we get to work with such kind couples and their families!
Enjoy some of my favorites from this lovely winter wedding!
